Katja Sørensen

Katja has expertise within the areas of chemistry, biotechnology, food science- and technology, food ingredients and immunochemistry/immunology.

She has experience in identification of inventions, drafting and handling patent applications, freedom-to-operate analyses and litigations. Furthermore, Katja has experience in developing and use IPR-analyses as a tool for risk assessment and idea generation in processes of development.

Katja also has special expertise in performing searches in patent and scientific databases in connection with novelty, documentation in cases concerning infringement, opposition and invalidity as well as freedom-to-operate analyses.

Katja has worked as a patent attorney in Plougmann & Vingtoft since 2006. Prior to this, Katja worked as a senior examiner at the DKPTO.

Moreover, Katja is an experienced lecturer on issues relating to patent and IP protection as well as database searches.
