Prior to joining Plougmann & Vingtoft in 2002 Lars worked in the pharmaceutical industry on research projects focusing on blood glucose regulation in type II diabetes and G-protein coupled receptor signaling. He has also held a Post Doctoral fellowship in the Department of Physiology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Lars has vast experience in patent prosecution, including oppositions and appeals. He is also experienced in drafting Freedom-To-Operate analyses, Non-Infringement Opinions, and in providing intellectual property due diligence.
Furthermore, Lars has specialized in developing intellectual property strategies for industry clients, providing practical approaches and customized solutions to managing intellectual property, and giving advice on strategic use of intellectual property rights.
In his work with IPR, Lars places particular emphasis on molecular biology, diagnostics, immunotherapy, cancer therapy and metabolic diseases including obesity. Finally, Lars is also leading the food Technology Industry Team focusing on human and animal nutrition and technology for the manufacture of food and feeds.
