European Patent Attorney
Gisle holds a Cand. Real. degree in Nuclear Physics from the University of Oslo (1977). He has completed professional patent education through the Scandinavian Patent Attorney Society, as well as international patent training through FICPI. Gisle has also completed a CEIPI course as prepartion for the title of European Patent Attorney. Further, he has completed a course in EMC certification and European directives under the auspices of NEMKO.

Prior to joining Plougmann & Vingtoft, Gisle worked for Zacco with patent consultancy in general, with drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of electronics and IT, with specialization in metering technology, data technique and programming and with design applications.

Gisle worked as a research assistant in the Department of Physics, University of Oslo 1978-1981, and then as a fellow 1983-1984. 1984 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2001 he was an associate professor in the same department.

Gisle worked at CERN in Geneva as senior fellow with the Data Division from 1981 to 1983 and as a project manager and scientific associate in the Atlas Experiment 1998-2001. From 1993 to 1997 he was technical director and chairman of the board at Distributed Computing AS.

Gisle is a member of NIR and AIPPI.
