We are fast approaching the deadline for Brexit, on 31 January 2020. However, as you may know from the intense media coverage, there will be a transition period, which will end on 31 December 2020. This means that until the end of 2020, all EU Regulations for trademarks and designs remain in force, including EU trademark and design registrations.
The EU rights can therefore still be enforced and used as basis for e.g. opposition. For further information please visit the website of the EUIPO.
