Mads Vejlgaard Evensen

MSc Materials and Manufacturing Engineering

Mads is part of the Technology & Software team at Plougmann Vingtoft. Through his studies, he has acquired knowledge in materials technology, manufacturing, physics, nanotechnology, and mechanics.

In his thesis at the Technical University of Denmark, he investigated the effect of laser beam shape on residual stresses in 3D-printed metal components, using numerical modelling methods.

He has a broad engineering background from his bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, where he wrote a thesis on micro- and nanofabrication and gained experience working in cleanrooms.

Furthermore, Mads assisted Plougmann Vingtoft from 2022 to 2024 alongside his studies, in proofreading patents translated from English, German, and French into Norwegian.

Mads is a native Norwegian speaker and is fluent in Danish and English.
