Vivian is part of Plougmann Vingtoft’s Life Science & Chemistry team, where she contributes with her technical expertise within the areas of molecular biology, biomedicine, (epi)genetics, cancer biology and genetic engineering. She works with cases relating to, but not limited to, biomarkers, biostimulants, pharmaceutical products, diagnostic methods, and food production.
Vivian works with universities, research institutions, as well as small start-ups to big corporations, and she deals with all aspects of IPR, in particular patentability evaluations, patent drafting, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and prosecution.
Vivian has a background in molecular medicine, where she has previously worked with genomic and proteomic methods to investigate the role of a specific non-coding RNA molecule in relation to cancer proliferation and the induction of chemo resistance in human lung cancer cells. In connection with this, she worked extensively with CRISPR/Cas9 gene technology aiming to inhibit cancer growth and resistance to chemotherapy.
Vivian speaks fluent Danish, English, and Vietnamese.
She joined Plougmann Vingtoft in 2022.
