2024 has been an eventful year for Plougmann Vingtoft, filled with recognitions, international travels, and impressive achievements. We have looked back at some of this year’s most prominent highlights.
New ownership, same dedication
The year started with big news: on December 29, 2023, an agreement on change of ownership was finalized between Arator and the partners at Plougmann Vingtoft, meaning the company is now 100% partner-owned and managed. The change of ownership has not resulted in any structural or organizational changes for either employees, partners, or clients. The changes have only occurred in the parent company, PV Holding A/S. The aim is to ensure long-term ownership, development, and stability.
In connection with the change of ownership, the future strategy, values, and goals for Plougmann Vingtoft were presented. New initiatives included investments in our IT systems to meet both current and future needs, including an upgrade of the IP Management System Patricia and the ERP system Dynamics 365 Business Central. The latter is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
Plougmann Vingtoft recognised with two ‘Firm of the Year’ Awards
Plougmann Vingtoft has once again cemented its position as a leading player in intellectual property.
For the second consecutive year, and the third time overall, we were named Firm of the Year – Denmark at the Global IP Awards. This award is a recognition of our efforts to provide top-tier advice and navigate the complex IP landscape.
In the spring, we were honoured as Trademark Firm of the Year at the Managing IP EMEA Awards 2024. This is a great recognition of our employees and a testament to our expertise in trademark law and our dedication to protecting our clients’ brands globally.

Throughout the year, we have sought to strengthen our international relations through a series of overseas trips.
Our team has visited partners in San Francisco, New Orleans, Noordwijk, Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo, where we have exchanged knowledge and explored new opportunities for collaborations. These visits have been essential in maintaining and expanding our global network.
In the fall, we also participated in INTA’s Annual Meeting in Atlanta and the APAA 2024 conference in Manila. Here we have meet up with colleagues from around the world, shared insights, and discussed the latest trends and challenges in IP.
Focus on Innovation in Denmark
We have also focused greatly on our relationships in Denmark. Every year, we participate in the Nordic Innovation Fair, where stakeholders across the innovation ecosystem, including researchers, startups, industry, and investors, meet to network and explore new opportunities.
Likewise, we spend time educating and spreading the understanding about intellectual property and how it can be used to strengthen any business strategy. Several of our employees are guest lecturers at universities, gladly participate as speakers at external meetings, and we continuously hold events where we provide insights into the latest in IP.
